Copper Wadi (Cu)

The Copper Wadi target area is located some 15 km west of Jebel Ohier and is centred on a N-S oriented wadi system to the immediate west of Red and White Wadi. Geologically, the area is analogous to the latter but lacks epithermal-style vein sets. Several locations yielding up to 2.6wt% Cu in andesitic rock samples have been identified during reconnaissance mapping in 2017, with one target zone (the F2 deposit) extending for at least 80m along strike in the SW extremity of the wadi system. Based on lithogeochemical assessments, its geological make-up and widespread elevated anomalous Cu values in rock samples, the area is considered to be prospective for VMS-style mineralization. Assays from reconnaissance RC drilling have confirmed the presence of a several meters-thick, stratabound Cu-Zn-Ag enriched units at this location but further drill testing is required (and planned) to ascertain the down-plunge extent and nature of this inferred VMS-type occurrence
